Daniel-Alva

Daniel Alva, Hatha Yoga Teacher, singer, musician, Schauberger Environmentalist, has been studying yoga since 1995, gaining influence and inspiration from the Iyengar, Astanga, and Vinyasa traditions. Daniel has been teaching since 2003 in Sonoma and Marin Counties. His muse is that of the Astanga (8 limbs) tradition of Sri B.K.S. Iyengar. Daniel is a student at the Iyengar Institute’s Advanced Studies program in San Francisco, and he intends to become a certified Iyengar Teacher. He is devoted to lifelong learning, exploration, inspiration, and awe. Along with studying Iyengar Yoga, he is a student of Pilates, Human Anatomy, Physiology, Kinesiology and Sports Medicine. Besides Yoga, his other muse is the study of the voice (being a singer), and the healing and therapeutic benefits of music. Daniel feels that yoga is both an art and a science, that it is noble, and that through consistent practice the sincere practitioner will be transformed.
